The Technique's History

This is something I came up with to hold and grind gravers that are not square, for example, flats, rounds and onglette. This also makes it easy to apply a parallel heel to an onglette.

How To Sharpen

The graver is held by the tang then the top is ground just as you would grind a 120 degree relief on a graver (30 degrees on each side). The 120 degree angle fits perfectly in the dual angle fixture. With this the graver fits back in fixture perfectly every time. Eliminating reshaping everytime it is removed and replaced for resharpening. The parallel heel on an onglette is applied by adjusting the heel height and rolling the side of the graver along the ceramic wheel.
