Pavé Without the Usual Bright Cuts
Typically, a grid of pavé set stones goes hand in hand with linear bright cut borders. However, this ring shows a different way of lining these stones up with a nice, new touch to the borders.
The ring shown here uses beading and adds circular accents with bur cuts, creating a very atypical design. Whereas the linear bright cuts are very plain and simple, this transition to beads and circular accent bur cuts adds texture and sparkle to the ring that is a bit softer than the hard lines of linear bright cuts.
This is just one way to experiment with new ways of adding interest to traditional methods and practical techniques.
