Engrave a Gun in One Week: Part 3
In this final installment of the Engrave a Gun in One Week series, featured here are three talented engravers who completed engravings on their own firearm during the course with Rex Pedersen.
Student Seth Becker of Conrad, Montana, uses the Airtact with the GraverMach to help make engraving easier for him. Seth chose to design and engrave a pattern he created using the provided in-class templates. His overall design shows a good foundation in scrolls, balance, and composition. Seth said that the class was "...the confidence booster necessary to facilitate engraving on other firearms."
Shanna Moran of Midland, Texas, has been in the jewelry business for several years, and likes to engrave. This firearms course was the perfect way for her to build her skills. Her pattern of choice for this side of her firearm features the large American scroll, which she executed quite nicely. Shanna said that Rex Pedersen is an excellent instructor, and that it was a very good class.
Tim Frank of Knoxville, Tennessee, engraved the small English scroll pattern on this side of his firearm. "This is the first time I worked with Rex, and I enjoyed it. I'll take more courses in the future." His small English scroll shows how smooth, concise cuts his cuts are on this pattern.
This new course was a great experience for a hands-on opportunity to build engraving skills. If you would like to learn how you can enroll in an engraving course like this one, call a representative today at 1-800-835-3519 for more information.
