Engraved Tribute to Engraving
This engraved inscription “For the Love of The Art” is a statement in two ways: first, it’s beautifully engraved in an elegant style that honors engraving by execution; second, the words themselves express the engraver’s passion for the art.
The international crowd that watched as Sam Alfano engraved this live on a sterling silver jeweler’s loupe was mesmerized. Baselworld is widely considered the world’s premier watch and jewelry exhibition. Held annually in the spring in Basel, Switzerland, attendees see almost unimaginable creativity and workmanship from around the world. Sam’s Baselworld 2007 demonstrations, including this inscription, clearly showed top American craftsmanship at work.
