Name This Famous Engraver
Here are some hints. He learned engraving in Belgium, starting at the age 13; he is now 76. This photo was taken in February, 2007, at the home of his good friend and former engraving student, Philippe Grifnée.
Meet René Delcour, a vibrant lifelong ambassador for the engraving arts. Mr. Delcour is now retired after nearly 60 years as an engraver. Originally, he learned engraving at the gun making school in Liege. He later worked for Fabrique Nationale (FN/Browning) and finally returned to the gun making school in Liege as an engraving instructor.
