Just in time for these creepy crawlers to make an appearance in all things Halloween here in the United States, take a look at the arachnids of Lee Griffiths' firearm.
This firearm is covered with insects and arachnids in multi-colored metals and an array of engraving techniques. Here Griffiths showcases these tiny creatures with a typical engraving technique with engraved lines, dots, and background that has been removed to create somewhat of a silhouette of a spider on its web.
Also, Griffiths has used his skills to create a three-dimensional sculpted spider, as well as several that feature gold, copper and silver inlay. To add a few splashes of color, he has designed in a few small flowers in a variety of metals. These tiny flowers and amazing arachnids are placed throughout his well-planned scrolls and leaves, keeping a traditional element to the work.
