This knife by engraver and scrimshander James Mitchell shows a simple metal engraving on the bolster and a nice eagle design on the handle.
For the scrimshaw, Mitchell used a combination of scratches and dots. He utilized the GRS Monarch Handpiece for the dot work. For his scrimshaw work he adds color using Dr. Martin's Liquid watercolors as desired and then coats the scrim with a clear acrylic, brushed only over the artwork.
The blade is Alabama Damascus with nickle silver bolsters and ivory handle slabs.
