One of the Artisan Alley members, Mitch Lurth, loves his guitars. So it was perhaps inevitable that he would combine his artful engraving with guitars.

This electric guitar is already a custom instrument because Mitch started with a standard Yamaha model and changed the neck. But now he wants to replace the original white plastic pick guard with a copper one and then engrave it. Mitch has already sketched some concept designs that are an interesting combination of traditional scrolls, leaves and flowers with some bold and angular graphic elements.
