As a mostly self-taught artist, Robert Strosin creates work that is quite stunning. He engraved this pendant as a birthday present. Made for his daughter Karen, Strosin said that this pendant could one day be passed on to Karen's own daughter Kate.

Featured in 2007 Robert Strosin practiced work like this leaf script during a Grand Masters course. The focal point of the engraving is a beautifully cut gold "K" in a leaf script. The leaves in the background provide contrast to the gold for a balanced look. The direction of the running border and the upturned leaf script edges give a wholesome and uplifting feeling to this piece. Overall, the engraving and the gold make for a warm pendant that's a perfect gift for his daughter.

Strosin has taken four Grand Masters classes at the GRS Training Center that have helped refine his skills, most recently in 2007 with classes taught by Winston Churchill and Ken Hunt. A member of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America, he has served both as President and as Treasurer of the guild. Strosin is from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
