The true importance of the 2010 Grand Masters Program may only be realized by a few people. With the art of engraving becoming an open and accessible trade, younger generations may soon forget the time and effort put forth by masters like Creative Art.
Not only are these three talented professionals highly skilled in the engraving arts, the sheer amount of knowledge — and not to mention experience — masters like this attain is something of greater value than can be easily expressed. However, those select few who will be joining Giacomo Fausti, Giovanni Steduto, and Ugo Talenti during the next two weeks will walk away with an experience unlike any Grand Masters in the past.
The hand engraved firearm shown here exemplifies the pure artistry and craftsmanship of these Grand Masters. From the exact likeness of a wild cat to the vision it takes to conceptualize and execute such a beautiful work of art in metal, Creative Art will pass on a skill that will be treasured by the engraving students for a lifetime.
Even if you won’t be joining the three members from Creative Art and the dozens of other engravers from around the world, you can still experience Grand Masters 2010. Look for more photos posted here on Featured Photos during the event, as well as on the Grand Masters Program website. Make plans to join us next year as we announce the 2011 Grand Master instructors on Sunday, August 8th.
